Our Partners

KMU is a collaborative effort of many players.  We were started by The United Methodist Church's North Katanga Conference under the leadership of Bishop Ntambo Nkulu. Funding for building construction and other initiatives has come both from Congolese leaders and our friends overseas.


We especially express gratitude to:

• Bishop Ntambo Nkulu and the North Katanga Conference leaders for having the vision to create and provide on-going leadership to KMU
• Governor Moïse Katumbi Chapwe for his generous donation to KMU's Information Technology department.
• Friendly Planet Missiology for its on-going work in training our leaders, helping KMU shape its vision, and providing practical advice and assistance on development of the university
• St. Paul School of Theology for assisting in the continuing education of several of our faculty

• Arkansas Tech University's Wesley Foundation's gift of the Bobby Jackson Memorial Chapel at KMU
